Our Core Values
Ethical: We believe in the honest and fair treatment of the individuals that we serve. We uphold these standards not just at Peninsulas Alliance, but in the world at large. All people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. We advocate for and with the people we serve in the most honest way possible. Honest to them, honest to us, and honest to our agency.

Empowerment: We believe in supporting the people we serve to take control of their own lives. Empowerment builds confident individuals who know their inherent worth and value. We advocate for the ability of all people to have a say in what happens to them.

Advocacy: We believe in advocacy because of its ability to draw attention to issues. We strive for public change as an agency to make impactful change for individuals and families living with IDD. We fight for inclusion, representation, and access. We need to build a better future for people with all abilities.

Compassion: We believe in caring for another person’s struggles and wanting to take action to solve it. We speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Compassion helps us connect with others which produces a desire for all people to be free from suffering.

Respect: We believe in honoring people’s opinions, feelings, and their values. We accept people as they are without any prejudice or conditions. We show this through our words, actions, and behaviors. We believe in treating all people with courtesy, politeness, and kindness.

Equality: We believe that every individual is valuable. We fight to honor, protect and enforce the human rights of all people.
